Xavier Richardson
XAVIER RICHARDSON ("The Good Pretender") was a 2001 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellow. In 2003 he was a semifinalist in the Great American Novelist Contest for an unpublished manuscript. He has taught creative writing workshops at the University City Arts League. When Xavier was in middle school, his uncle would get tickets to Phillies games and they would make the hour journey from rural South Jersey to the Vet. A job, then a social life, eased him across the bridge. University City has been his home since the early 1990s.
